We do not collect your location, contacts, screen recordings or advertising IDs. We never look through your phone's photos: we only receive a photo you choose to add. We take no screenshots. We buy no information about you from anyone.

Food preferences. A parent who runs your home can tell Famoo what your home likes. Famoo keeps them in London; only the adults of your home can see them. With each plan, Famoo sends MiFooDo the cuisines you like and the things to avoid (never who chose them, and never a word that mentions someone in your home), and asks for vegetarian or vegan meals only when everyone eating that week is. Meat nights are not sent: Famoo swaps extra meat meals itself.

Allergies. You can choose to keep your family's allergies in Famoo, from the UK's 14 allergens. Allergies are health information, so:

Famoo warns adults when a recipe lists one of them, and refuses a meal you pick yourself that lists one. Famoo also sends MiFooDo the allergies in your home (never whose they are) with each plan, so it avoids recipes marked with them. MiFooDo stores them with the plan in the United States until the plan is deleted (section 6). Famoo avoids recipes marked with these allergens and warns you, but always check every recipe and product label yourself: it cannot guarantee a recipe is free of them. Other diets for health reasons are not used. If you type health details into a note, it is stored like any other note. Please avoid it.

School emails are not part of Famoo yet. We will update this notice before they are.

No decision about anyone is made by computer alone in a way that has legal or similarly serious effects.

3. Children

There is a short explanation for children at the end of this notice, for a parent to read with them.

5. Paying for a plan

If an adult who runs your home chooses Famoo Plus, the payment is made through Square. GEMINAI LTD sells the plan.

6. How long we keep it

What How long
Your home's records While your home uses Famoo. If nobody opens your home for 12 months, we email its admins. If it is still unused 3 months later, we delete it
A person or home you delete Gone from Famoo straight away. Copies in encrypted backups expire within 7 days
A deleted person in the points history A nameless "Deleted person" stays, so the totals still add up
A date of birth or photo Until it is removed or replaced, or the person (or, for household photos, the home) is deleted. Then every stored copy is deleted within 7 days
Meal plans at MiFooDo Deleted once their week is over and you ask for a new plan, or 14 days after the week ends, and always when you delete your home
Sign-in details at Firebase Deleted when you delete your account. Google clears them from its backups within 180 days
Calendar connection and copied events Until you disconnect, hide or remove the calendar, or delete your account. Events outside 3 months back to 13 months ahead are removed
Record of each change Famoo made in your calendar (who, which calendar, the outcome; never the title or times) 13 months
Allergies Until a parent unticks the agreement, or the person or home is deleted. At MiFooDo, with the plan, as above
Payment records (plan, price, dates, Square references, never the card number) 6 years after the plan or the paid period ends, because HMRC requires business records to be kept that long. Then deleted automatically. This applies even if you delete your home, because the law requires it.
Payment notifications from Square (type, time, whether checked; never the payment's content) 90 days
The exact words and price of the plan your home accepted Until the home is deleted
Request logs 30 days
Problem reports 12 months after you sent them (12 months after the case closes, if you shared it with us)
Support emails 12 months after the case closes
Our record of who opened a shared report 24 months
"Help improve Famoo" data Raw records until the next daily roll-up, then only totals with no link to anyone. Totals are kept for 25 months
Privacy choices and your 18-or-over tick While your account exists
Record that a deletion happened (IDs and dates, no names) 6 years. It holds no content, and stops a restore bringing deleted data back

7. Your rights, and how to use them

You can:

How:

It is free. We reply within 2 working days and act within one month at the latest. If we need to check it is really you, we ask straight away.

Children's rights. Children have the same rights. A parent who is an admin of the home can usually act for a younger child. An older child may act for themselves. If a parent's request seems to go against what a child wants, we think about what is best for the child before we act.

8. Adverts

There are no adverts in Famoo at the moment.

Our promise: no adverts to children, no tracking adverts, and we never sell your data. No ad networks, no tracking tools, no advertising IDs.

If we ever add sponsored offers for adults, they will be clearly labelled, only on adult food and shopping screens, chosen from what is on the screen, never from your history or anything about your children. We will update this notice and tell you in the app first.

9. Famoo on social media

Famoo has its own accounts on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. We post our own videos and pictures there, and a person at Famoo approves every post before it goes out. To post to Famoo's TikTok account, our posting tool connects to that one account through TikTok's sign-in. TikTok gives us a key for Famoo's account and the account's ID. We keep them in Google Cloud in London, use them only to send our own videos to our own account and to see whether each post went out, and delete them if we disconnect. We do not use TikTok sign-in for anyone else, and we do not collect other people's TikTok data. We count how each of our posts does (views, likes, shares, saves and comments, in totals) so we can learn what families find useful. These are numbers per post, never about a person. If you comment on our posts or message us there, the platform's own privacy policy applies. We use what you send only to reply. If you send us a family story to share, we ask for your written permission first, and we take it down whenever you ask.

10. Keeping it safe

Each home's records are kept apart from every other home's, and checked by tests every time the code changes. Information is encrypted in storage and on the move. The kitchen tablet cannot reach parent controls without a fresh sign-in. If something goes wrong that affects your family, we will tell you quickly and plainly.

11. Complaints

Please tell us first: privacy@gemin-ai.com. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days, and aim to give you a full answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, phone 0303 123 1113.

12. Changes

If we change this notice, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

Famoo: a few words for children

Famoo is your family's app. It helps with jobs, points, homework, the calendar and meals.

Your grown-up is in charge. They set it up and choose what goes in.

What Famoo knows about you. Your name, your jobs, your points and your homework, and your birthday and photo, if your family puts them in. It does not know where you are.

Who can see it. People in your family, depending on what your grown-up chooses. The people who make Famoo only look if they need to fix something.

We never:

When your family plans meals, Famoo tells the food helper how many people are eating, not who you are.

You can say no. If you do not want to use Famoo, tell your grown-up. Nobody will be cross.

Something wrong or worrying? Tell your grown-up, or press Help, then Report a problem. We would rather know.
